Hyakka-tei
Hyakka-tei is a izakaya (Japanese pub) which is located near nishi-funabashi station.
A Japanese water mill is displayed in front of the izakaya.
It stands out on a street.

Cormorants under the Highway

Fishing Port
Scenery around the fishing port is changing.
You can see tall building over the port in the photo above.
But funabashi fishing port still works full-scale because of a large shallow that remains in front of funabashi city.

Net on the Boat
I took this photo in Funabashi fishing port.
You can see a net on the boat in this photo.
Fishermen go to shallow by small boat, and catch clams (short-neck clam) with such a net.
I think it is a hard work to operate that heavy net alone.

Green Tree in the Shrine
This old tree stands in the precincts of funabashi daijingu (funabashi shrine).
Trunk of the tree is covered with moss.
When I visited the shrine, around the tree is very calm.
The tree looks more beautiful in the silence.

Osamu Dazai
This is a relief of Osamu Dazai (1909-1948) who was an excellent novelist.
His works have still been very popular, especially in young generation of Japan.
He lived in funabashi in around a year.
This bridge is near to the place where he lived.
Osamu Dazai was born on Jun 19 , 1909.

Baby Guardian Dog
I took these photos in yamano sengen jinja.
In the photo above, you can see a guardian dog standing on the top of rocks.
And you can also see his baby in the bottom of the photo.
Father guardian dog is watching his baby.
And the baby guardian dog is about to try to climb up those rocks by his own power.

Duck Sails on the River
Ebigawa (ebi-river) is a river which flows in funabashi city.
I often see duck sailing on the river.
That place is not so far from funabashi railway station.
