This bridge is on a main street in central funabashi.

If you go to straight on the street, you will see an entrance of funabashi shrine soon.

Green Leaves of Cherry Trees

Blossoms die ;

new lives dye

In this month, I posted photos of cherry blossoms which were in full bloom by the river.

Last Sunday, I went to the river again, and took these photos.

When petals of cherry blossom fall, fresh green leaves come out.

Petals give the life to young leaves, and fall to the ground with remain their beauty.

Narrow Alley in Spring

I took this photo on a narrow alley in central funabashi.

It is not far from funabashi station.

But atmosphere of down town still remains.

I like those small potted flowers by the wall.

Azalea in Rain

In a fresh morning ;

When I walked in the rain today, I found lovely azalea on a road side.

It looks more beautiful in the rain .

This morning, strong wind blew here in funabashi.
And It has been rain.
After lunch, I went out to take a photo in the light rain.

After Rain in the Woods

after rain ;
the sound of life
under dead leaves


It is still cold here in funabashi.
But spring blossoms are starting to bloom in the city.
Nature tell me the season is turning.
And I feel something vivid when I see those wet leaves include dead leaves on the ground.

So I wrote a Haiku poetry today.

Autumn Haiku (stream)

the stream in north wind ;
red leaves flow on the water
leaving tree's shadow

I took this photo on the stroll road along ebi-river at north side of central funabashi.
it is one of my favorite place in this city, I often take photos there.
In the past of few days, it becomes cold suddenly.
I realize winter is approaching to here.

Haiku-poetry Alley

Narrow alley in afternoon ;
atumun wind passes by the lonely lantern

The atmosphere of down town still remains in central funabashi.
When the lantern of the Izakaya ( Japanese pub ) gives light, this alley is getting crowded.

Haiku-poetry Cosmos

an empty lot ;
cosmos danceing
with the wind

In Kanji-symbol, we write cosmos as "秋桜".
Literary, It means "autmn cherry blossom".

Haiku-poetry Morning Moon

almost full
the moon floats in the morning sky ;
with my eyes were washing by autumn air

Today, I was waiting for day break, and went out to see the moon.
I felt it was getting cold in morning time.

I'm now so sleepy.

Haiku-poetry in Funabashi Fishing Port

row of the boats ;
makes a bridge to the autumn sky

船たちが
架けたる橋は
秋空へ

hune tachi ga
kaketaru hashi wa
akizora e

Thoes boats are fishing boats which catch clam.
They had finished fishery on that day, and rest in the port.

calm afternoon ;

Here in funabashi, it is still warm in day time.
But it is getting cold in night.
Leaves are changing the colour.
We will be in mid autumn soon.
