A blog of Japan. You can see Japanese daily life and scenery through my camera. All photos are taken in Funabashi city and surround.
This is second gate of yamano sengen jinja.

I like walk on this calm approach.

A long approach gives time to the visitor to forget the modern outside, and to enter slowly into the out-of-time part of the shrine..It takes part of the spirit's walk.
Very nice. It is good for all of us to slow down, I think...life goes by too fast as it is!
Beautiful gate!
This place looks so peaceful indeed!
Have a nice Sunday

Simply beautiful, so peaceful and quiet!
Interesting — this torii is made of stone, not wood?
I like the long paths to your shrines. I find that it helps put one in a meditative and prayerful frame of mind.
Mme. la Vache is in Japan now, visiting her brother and her mother.
The gate looks really old, cool and quite with beautiful trees around it!

This photo looks so inviting, just welcoming you into the walkway.
