Funabashi Toshogu
This very small shinto shrine is located in central funabashi.
Toshogu ( 東照宮 ) means a shinto shrine devoted Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) who was the founder and first Shogun (general) of the Tokugawa shogunate.
They say that funabashi toshogu is smallest toshogu.
Even small, It is a proof of history.
Ieyasu had a large rest house in funabashi.
He liked falconry.
Funabashi was on the way to his falconry spot.

Young leaves of cherry blossom
I took this photo today on the walking road by ebigawa (ebi-river).
Petals of these cherry blossoms has almost fallen.
And young leaves have come out.

Ducks in the River
Last Friday, I went to ebigawa (ebi-river) to take photo of cherry blossom.
After taking photos of cherry blossom, I walked along the river.
And I found those ducks in the river.
I thought those ducks were viewing petals of cherry blossom on the water.

Petals on the Water

Petals of cherry blossom flow in the river.
Please click the the second photo, you can see petals falling to the river.
In a part of the river that flows slowly, the water is almost covered with petals.
Those petals dye the river water white(slightly pink).

Takashobashi (Takasho-bridge)
Takasho-bridge is the only one wooden bridge which is over ebi-river.
I took this photo today, those cherry blossoms around the bridge were good to see.

Cherry Blossoms in Funabashi shrine
Funabashi shrine (Funabashi daijingu) is a shinto shrine that is located in central funabashi.
Do you remember the shrine in winter.
I took these photos yesterday.
It was calm and peaceful.
I like the contrast between green needles of pine trees and white cherry blossoms.
