Fishing Port at Dusk #1

Funabashi fishing port is one of my favorite place in this city.
When I visit there at dusk, I'm in a nostalgic world.

Sasanqua in the Shrine

I took this photo today in the precincts of Funabashi Daijingu Shrine.
Sasanqua is a tree that blossoms from late fall to early winter.

Row of Gulls

Funabashi city is faced to Tokyo bay.
I took this photo on a park along the water course to Tokyo bay.
You can see water gate over there.

Golden Yellow

I took this photo in my town yesterday.
Here in funabashi, leaves of ginkgo become yellow in late fall.
When those leaves look golden yellow, winter is approaching here.

Fishing Boats and Tower

You can see fishing boats by that bridge.
You can also see tall building over there.
Scenery of the city has been changing.
But I hope the traditional style fishery remains in the city for long time.

Under the Railroad Overpass

I took this photo under the railroad overpass that is close to funabashi station.
You can see Izakaya (Japanese pub) and convenience store store in this photo.
I often pass through there.

Rainy Street in November

I took this photo on a main street in central funabashi today.
It was rain and cold.
But I think the rain makes those autumn leaves more atmospheric.

Funabashi Shrine in Fall

I took these photos in funabashi shrine today.
Funabashi shrine is a shinto shrine located in central funabashi.
In this time, those yellow and red leaves make the shrine very colourfull.

Autumn Colours

I took this photo in my town today.
You can see Japanese silver glasses in this photo.
That white colour stood out in those autumn colours.

Silver Grass at Dusk

I took this photo on the walking road along ebigawa (ebi-river) a week ago.

This plant is Susuki ( Japanese pampas grass, Japanese silver grass).

It is one of the seven grasses in autumn.

Moon above the Cherry

I took this photo on the walking road along ebigawa ( ebi-river ) today.
That tree is jugatsu-zakurra (Prunus x subhirtella cv. Autumnalis).
It is a cherry starts to bloom in fall.

I found the moon above the tree.
I love the moon in fall.

Jugatsu-zakura in Blue Sky

I took this photo in my town today.
Jugatsu-zakura (Prunus x subhirtella cv. Autumnalis) is a cherry tree that starts to bloom in fall. "jugatsu" means October.
In winter, it stops blooming.
And it blooms again in spring.
We can enjoy those blossoms twice in a year.

Japanese Photinia in Autumn

I took this photo today.
These small trees are Japanese Photinia.
It is popular as hedge.

Those red ( not green ) leaves are fresh leaves.
( Colour of the leaf turns to green from red )

Usually, fresh leaves of the tree come out in spring.
But, if they prune it in summer, fresh red leaves come out again in fall.
And it makes beautiful contrast of green and red.

Street Musician

I took these photos on the pedestrian deck which is in front of funabashi station.


It was on a Saturday afternoon.
Some people stopped to listten to the music, and some people went through the deck.

Boats in the Town

Those small boats in the river go to a shallow in Tokyo bay to catch clams.
You can see nets for catching clams in the first photo.
I have something nostalgic feeling when I see those boats in the town.

Inari shrine by the old residence

This small Inari shrine stands by an old residence called " Kioukaku".

Photo above is a stone fox of the Inari shrine.

In the left side of the photo above, you can see the small Inari shrine.

Sea Gull and the Park

I took this photo on funabashi shinsui park.
The park is located along the water way to Tokyo bay.
I like watching birds from the park.
In the second photo, you can see funabashi fishing port over the water way.

Narrow Alley

There are many narrow alleys in central funabashi.
This alley is very narrow.
You can see an Izakaya (Japanese pub) in this photo.
I have visited the Izakaya one time.
They serve nice sea foods at good price.

River in Early Autumn

I took these photos on the walking road along ebigawa (ebi-river) yesterday.
It is still hot in daytime.
But I think that autumn has come here in funabashi.

In the Evening

I took this photo last Sunday in my town.

I like walk on the road along field.

In evening, it is getting cool.

But we still hear music of cicada.

Higanbana

Higanbana is called red spider lily in English.
"higan" means equinoctial week.
Usually the flowers start to bloom around middle of September.

Ukiyoe Noren in the 100 Yen Shop

"
Noren, (暖簾)" is a Japanese short curtain.
Those Noren curtains have Ukiyoe design.

By the way, I took this photo in Daiso Giga Funabashi.
It is a big 100 yen shop in central funabashi.
You can see price labels on those Noren curtains.
Those are sold at 1000 yen ( 1050 yen include tax ).
Almost items in the shop are 100 yen.
But, there are items which is over 100 yen.

Sunflower in End of Summer

I took this photo in my town few days ago.
It is still hot in daytime.
But it is getting cool in evening.
I post this photo for the memory of this summer.

Tachiaoi in the Rain

I took this photo yesterday on the way to home.
It was rainy, because typhoon was approaching to here in funabashi.
In the rain, I found lovely flower.
Hollyhock is called "Tachiaoi" in Japanese.
It is a my favorite flower in summer.

A Small Izakayal

I took this photo on an alley in central funabashi.
I have never visit in this Izakaya ( Japanese pub ).
But I like that entrance of it.
Someday, I might enter the entance.

Kamiyama-jinmyosha

Kamiyama-jinmyosha is a shinto shrine that is located western part of funabashi.
Kamiyama is a town name.
There are many trees in the precincts of the shrine.
I took these photos with listening songs of cicadas today.

Fresh Nashi Pear

There are many nashi pear (sand pear) farm in Funabashi city.
You can see fresh nashi pear in the first photo.
Farmers sell those nashi pear directly in this time.

Asagao on the wall

The other day, when I was walking around central funabashi to find something interesting in summer, I found this asagao (morning glory)on the wall.I
I is lovely flower in summer, of course I love it.

Rice Field in Summer

I took this photo by ebigawa (ebi-river).
That place in this photo is not so far from central funabashi.
( It takes around 20 minutes from funabashi station to there by walking. )
Scenery around the river has changed.
But a few rice fields still remain by the river.

Yakata-bune

Yakata-bune is a kind of Japanese boat.
You can enjoy Japanese food and drinking under roof of those boats.
Those boats in this photos are cruise Tokyo bay in evening.
And it is popular in summer.

Tachiaoi by the Road

We call hollyhock "tachiaoi".
I took this photo last wednesday.
This hollyhock is just blooming.
I think it is growing up high soon.
