Green Leaves of Cherry Trees

In this month, I posted photos of cherry blossoms which were in full bloom by the river.

Last Sunday, I went to the river again, and took these photos.

When petals of cherry blossom fall, fresh green leaves come out.

Petals give the life to young leaves, and fall to the ground with remain their beauty.

Funabashi Toshogu

This very small shinto shrine is located in central funabashi.
Toshogu ( 東照宮 ) means a shinto shrine devoted Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) who was the founder and first Shogun (general) of the Tokugawa shogunate.

They say that funabashi toshogu is smallest toshogu.
Even small, It is a proof of history.


Ieyasu had a large rest house in funabashi.
He liked falconry.
Funabashi was on the way to his falconry spot.

Narrow Alley in Spring

I took this photo on a narrow alley in central funabashi.

It is not far from funabashi station.

But atmosphere of down town still remains.

I like those small potted flowers by the wall.

Bicycle Parking in Spring

There are many bicycle parking around funabashi railway station.
I took this photo in front of the station yesterday.
I like those young leaves in spring.

Carp Stream in a Kindergarten

Have you ever seen fish sailing in the sky?
We call such carp stream "koi-nobori".
It is for children's day (May 5).

Azalea in Rain

In a fresh morning ;

When I walked in the rain today, I found lovely azalea on a road side.

It looks more beautiful in the rain .

Street in the Late Afternoon

I took this photo on a main street of central funabashi.
If you go up along the street, you will be in front of funabashi station soon.
Around after six, that road will be full of cars.
