Hello evrybody, I hope you will have a great year.

Kagura is a sacred music and dancing performed at shinto shrine.
I took this photo in funabashi shrine.
It was performed as a new year's event of the shrine

Happy New Year Nobu! Best wishes to you and your family.
A beautiful photo, question; what are the little white 'lightning bolts' hanging around the stage? I have seen them before and do not understand them.

I would have loved to watch this. This structure is especially for performances? Do all big shrines have something like it?

Nice to see you posting again, Nobu. I hope you had a good holiday. Happy New Year too!

Kagura is performed not only in new year but also in some festival.

I think that stage is for kagura.
