Happy New Year to you Nobu and my best wishes to your mother as well!
Happy New Year Nobu! Best wishes to you and your family.
A beautiful photo, question; what are the little white 'lightning bolts' hanging around the stage? I have seen them before and do not understand them.
Thanks Valeria.
Thanks Sandra, I think those are sigh(mark) showing holy place.
beautyful costumes and masks!that is "very japanese", if I dare to say..Has it something to do with theater NO, or is it something very particular for the New Year?
Happiest New Year to you Nobu! Best wishes for 2009.

I would have loved to watch this. This structure is especially for performances? Do all big shrines have something like it?
Nice to see you posting again, Nobu. I hope you had a good holiday. Happy New Year too!
Kagura is performed not only in new year but also in some festival.
