Hello kitty is a character designed by Japanese company Sanrio.
She was born in 1974.
She is still very popular in Japan.
And I think kity is one of most Kawaii character of Japan.
I took this photo in Funabashi railway station(JR).

Hello Kitty is very much loved here in the USA. I know we have several of her around our house.
seems to be everywhere in Japan!
Hello Kitty is still very popular here in Metro Manila too. Almost every woman I know loved and collected her when we were much younger.
Hello Kitty is very popular here in Southern California. I would buy one of those cute little ones in a Kimono right away if they were here!
Hello Kitty is becoming kind of popular here in Australia, it seems to be a fad with teenagers at the moment.
My sister used to have two Hello Kitty hand-held games about 25 years ago which my father brought back from a visit to Hong Kong. I'm sure they'd be worth a bit to a collector these days...
Thanks for your comments!
I'm glad she is loved in world wide.
My daughter just loves Hello Kitty and I remember it was such a treat as a kid myself to go to the Hello Kitty store. Such darling things there.
Oh, kitty is loved every woman in the world.
Nobu-san,
I was reading your popular articles. Quickly I am drawn to Kitty because I'm also one of those kitty-lovers *smile*
++ Istanbul!
+++ All Toruko!
There's a big love for kitty from every age of people in my country, too.
But not seen kitty in Kimono yet in our stores. I've a few kitties at home, gifted by my japanese friends:)
