A blog of Japan. You can see Japanese daily life and scenery through my camera. All photos are taken in Funabashi city and surround.
This is a pickled daikon radish(Japanese radish). It is called "takuan" or "takuwan".I have already post about drying daikon radish under the sun .Those daikon radishes are pickled in salt and rice bran.It is the traditional way of making takuan.
These are very sour, aren't they?
Apologies for a cut and paste, but there was no way on Earth I would be able to make it around the whole globe to wish everybody a Merry Christmas otherwise. I’m not Santa, you know!Anyway, from myself, Henry and Ezra, have a Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Hanukkah/Festivus and a happy New Year!I hope that all of your holiday photos turn out to be triumphs and all your soufflés rise accordingly.
This new to me too.
