I think canna is a beautiful flower in summer.
I like also those large leaves.
When I see this flower , I can be in the mood of tropical.
They say that canna came in Japan in Edo period ( 1603 - 1867 ).

The leaves kind of remind me of the banana leaves with their broad and thick texture. How beautiful the flower is...so vibrant.
I grow these in front of my house. Mine are red. They love the sun and I never have to water them. I love these you found!

We have lots of canna lilies in Southern California, I like to see them blooming. The snails really like them (to eat, not to look at).
