Funabashi Shrine in Winter

Funabashi shrine is a shinto shrine which is located in central funabashi.
Yesterday, it was snow here in funabashi.
I went to the shrine in lunch time.
The precinct of the shrine was very calm.

Nanohana Flower in The Snow

But today,we had snow here in funabashi city.
And the snow piled slightly on the field.
I have already introduced you this flower as "Nanohana flower blooming in winter ".
Those flowers which bloom in the snow, is really lovely.

After Rain in the Woods

It is still cold here in funabashi.
But spring blossoms are starting to bloom in the city.
Nature tell me the season is turning.
And I feel something vivid when I see those wet leaves include dead leaves on the ground.

So I wrote a Haiku poetry today.

This is a vending machine for soft drinks.
They sell Japanese tea, tea, coffee and so on by this machine.
Blue sign under sample indicate cold drink, red sign indicate hot drink.
In winter, those hot drinks are sold well.

Hina gashi means sweets for girl's day( March 3 ).
You can see those sweets which has three colour, pink , white, and green in the photo above.
Pink indicate peach blossom.
White indicate snow.
And green indicate fresh leaf.

Izakaya on the alley

Izakaya means a Japanese pub.
I some time visit to this izakaya.
Inside is very simple, but they serve really cheap and delicious dishes.
And I like the nostalgic atmosphere of it.

And Ume (Japanese apricot) blossoms are in bloom here in funabashi now.
White ume blossom and fresh green bamboo grass(sasa bamboo), what do you think of this combination.

By the way strong south wind blew here in funabashi yesterday, so I'm sure spring is approaching to this city certainly.

Ume blossoms are starting to bloom

I found this ume tree in a park yesterday.
Ume (Prunus mume) is known as "Ume","Japanese apricot" or "chinese plum" in English.
It is one of typical blossom in spring in Japan.
Ume blooms earlier than cherry blossom.

But the blossoms tell me the spring is approaching to here in funabashi.

"ramen yokocho" means ramen alley.
Ramen is a kind of noodle dish.
There are four ramen shops along the passage.
Those ramen shops are branch of popular ramen shops in Tokyo and Yokohama.

This small shinto shrine is in calm place.
There are many trees in the precincts of the Shinto shrine.

Behind the gate, long path lies to the hall.
When I am in front of the gate.
I feel a kind of dignity not only to the gate but also to the path.
