Those paper lanterns are hung outside of a yakitoriya.
"Yakitoriya" is a kind of Izakaya (Japanese pub).
It mainly serve "yakitori".
And "yakitori" is a grilled skewered chicken.
It is good with not only Sake but also beer.

Yakitori are definitively one of my favorite japanese food!!I did not know there were "yakitoria". But I must confess I eat them with water, sake is much to strong to me.
And to answer to Jacob, I'd say that drinking sake is strange:it's like drinking dry water, and then feeling fire in instant combustion in your mouth!Ü
By the way, the lanterns are really beautyful.

Fabulous shot Nobu! This lantern is really beautiful and I have tasted SAKE once in my life but I think it is a little bit strong for me!Maybe to drink SAKE in a cold day to warm up could be a good idea!!!!
