This is a sign of shoes shop.
I found this old sign on a back street in central funabashi.
It is very simple and style of letters is old.
But it is tasty for me.
That shop has already closed.
Simple words and name are painted on the board.
"special shop for men and women's shoes; new make and repair"

Sometimes old is good. Do they still repair shoes there?
The simple fact that they "repaired" the shoes show that the sign is old!I understand your nostalgy, when things were only efficient and simple..
